The day started off on a lovely footing. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, a decent sized travelling crowd was expected, in fact everything that the previous weeks trip over the pennines wasn't. The Wolves had started the season off with a fine double over Halifax and were looking for a decent cup run to boost the coffers and swell the gates at Wilderspool. Dare I say, spring was in the air.... that was until the Bulls came stomping on our parade.
Quotes:
'It was a good old fashioned hiding'
'We didn't compete for 80 minutes and didn't have the football for the first 30. Obviously we paid the price. But Bradford played really good football for 80 minutes.' - Darryl van De Velde
'I'm full of admiration for our players. I've got 25 who want to play in the team and who respect the decisions I make. The 17 guys who played today are a result of that' - Matthew Elliot
